Custom Scope
Uses advanced marketing concepts to create, develop, implement and manage comprehensive promotional marketing and sales strategies/plans, including short and long-range strategic planning. Responsibilities include comprehensive promotion and advertising and/or market research activities. Projects and/or programs are typically complex and require a high degree of technical marketing expertise. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Department Custom Scope
The Marketing and Communications Department of the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering works hand-in-glove with the Development, Student Affairs, Undergraduate Admissions, and Graduate Division units to ensure we build a community of engineers that delivers on the universal promise of education. The budgeted salary range is between $84,1000 - $102,450. A digital portfolio, writing sample, or campaign sample will be requested of interviewees. **As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. Creates, plans, produces, and evaluates marketing, advertising, and sales promotion materials to implement marketing strategies and sales objectives.
  • Campaigns focus primarily on external stakeholders such as alumni and prospective regional, out-of-state, or international students.

Produces informational material for sales force and media communications designed to reach maximum number of partners/prospects.

Ensures promotion of "brand" identity and maintains and monitors "brand" communications to both campus and/or medical center and off-campus and/or medical center agencies.
  • Close collaboration is required with UCR divisions including Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Division, International Affairs, and department graduate units.
