Department Custom Scope
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment and Evaluation, the Transfer Admission Specialist is available to students, families, the campus community, and the general public to interpret, enforce and explain University policies and regulations. The incumbent is responsible for admission eligibility evaluation of transfer and a limited number of freshman applicants based on self-reported information, official transcripts, and other pertinent documents. The Transfer Admission Specialist will independently represent Undergraduate Admissions in Central and Northern California by providing oversight at various programs and events, participating in community college and high school visits, fairs, consortium travel, and conferences. This position requires extensive travel in the Bay area, Northern California, and Central California during the peak recruitment seasons in fall and spring. The incumbent will be required to produce visit summaries, data reports, and program evaluations assessing the results and effectiveness of the events, visits, and initiatives they are responsible for. Candidate may be based regionally or at the Riverside campus. |
