Department Custom Scope
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Communications Manager will plan, create, edit, update, and manage web structure and design; create graphics and interactive digital assets; develop and populate email templates and applications; and manage social media accounts. The Digital Communications Manager will work collaboratively with college and university teams, including development, international relations, the Career Center, information technology, and various other internal and external entities, to promote the campaigns, programs, and initiatives supported by the college. The Digital Communications Manager will lead a team of student assistants responsible for executing website updates and social media activities, creating digital assets, and supporting marketing and communications campaigns to meet the college's goals. This person will provide ongoing analysis and reporting of college, department, and peer rankings such as U.S. News & World Report and CSRankings.com to gauge trends, identify next steps for continued ranking improvement, and develop messaging campaigns and marketing collateral to support and elevate reputations among peers. The Digital Communications Manager manages the college's contact databases of key external audiences, including current students, alumni, parents, partners, donors, and peers at engineering colleges. In this role, this person will serve as the primary liaison to numerous teams across the UCR campus and work collaboratively with BCOE colleagues, UCR information technology professionals, and external partners. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
