Position Purpose
The A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of California, Riverside offers a nationally-ranked MBA program that is also on the list of "10 Business Schools with the Most International Students". This AACSB-accredited school is one of the fastest growing business graduate schools in Southern California. We excel in developing brilliant minds that will lead dynamic, innovative businesses in the future. Our graduate school offers a full-time Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Flex MBA, Master of Professional Accounting (MPAc) and Master of Finance (MFin) programs. In addition, a PhD program, The Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Management, began in Fall 2011. The Senior Associate Director of Graduate Programs, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Director, will provide vision and leadership to the design, organization, development and implementation of a rapidly growing Graduate Program. This position will lead the development of strategies and objectives to increase the quality of applications and meet the enrollment goals (established by the Dean) for all Graduate programs at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. The Senior Associate Director of Graduate Programs in collaboration with the Director is responsible for the oversight of the recruitment for domestic and international students, enrollment and admission outreach, financial aid and delivery of student services to provide domestic and international graduate students a quality experience and education. The Senior Associate Director of Graduate Programs manages the Graduate Program Student Affairs Officer 2 staff and the application processing procedure for a successful Graduate Program. The Senior Associate Director of Graduate Programs acts with a great degree of independence. |

Deliver and manage programs and/or services involve a wide variety of complex issues and strategies requiring independent problem prevention/solving/resolution. Demonstrate strong and current knowledge of procedures and policies. Proactively identify and resolve complex student program issues and/or concerns. Advise students on university, campus and departmental requirements, policies and procedures. Advise students on course requirements for degree completion. Ascertain and communicate the use of transferred units in meeting college and major requirements. Confirm that students meet requirements for degree completion. Identify students with GPA or progress problems and recommend probation or other intervention. Advise students on probation issues. |

Develop a recruiting strategy in concert with marketing efforts and manage the recruiting process to ensure that highly qualified candidates are identified and encouraged to apply and attend. Develop diversity initiatives in the recruitment strategy. Travel and recruit at Graduate Business Program events inside and outside the United States. Conduct visits to community colleges and community and educational agencies to provide current information on educational opportunities available at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at UC Riverside including: information on all AGSM graduate programs, UCR admissions procedures and entrance requirements, types of financial assistance including merit scholarships, housing, student life, athletic programs, and career opportunities. Represent the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at recruitment events such as College Night and Transfer Day programs, College Advisement programs, College Fairs, Campus Tours, Admission Days, Preview Day, Alumni Welcomes, Scholar's Receptions and other potential networking events. Assist the Director in the development of a plan to involve AGSM graduate alumni in the prospective student recruitment process. Coordinate alumni information sessions for graduating students. Develop a system for alumni student referrals for the program. Develop and prepare reports to track and evaluate recruiting and outreach efforts and develop trend analysis for student recruitment and retention for all Graduate programs. Collect and share data needed to complete departments and ranking surveys. Collect and manage data necessary to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of the recruiting efforts made and conversion rates of prospects while maintaining increasing quality enrolment. |
