Position Purpose
Under the general direction of the Associate Director, provide advising and support services to promote the success and wellness of international students at one of the most diverse universities in the nation. Serve as a campus Designated School Official and/or Alternate Responsible Officer, providing expert immigration services and regulatory advising to international students. In collaboration with the international student advising and support team, design and deliver professional intercultural and support programs that facilitate the educational, professional, and personal success of international students at UCR. Contribute to outreach and campus training that provides faculty, staff, and domestic students with the resources and skills they need to effectively contribute to an increasingly international campus. Work collaboratively with on and off campus partners to improve and maximize support services for international students. |

- In collaboration with the advising team, develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive adjustment and integration programs for international students that foster wellness and success - Expand and enhance programs designed to foster intercultural communication skills and a mutual exchange of culture, language and learning - Devise preferred program outcomes, create measures to assess program effectiveness, and make recommendations for changes/new programs to department leadership - Partner with other UCR student affairs and academic departments on programs and services relevant for international students - Research and develop online programs appropriate for UC Riverside's international student population that can be integrated into the existing UCR technology platform - Coordinate marketing for ISRC programs and services through print, online, and social media platforms - Partner with the ISRC Administrative Services Manager and Administrative Assistant to coordinate program logistics and materials, and to evaluate program cost-effectiveness - Provide leadership for and supervise student assistants, peer advisors and/or volunteers as needed or directed |

UC Riverside's International Student Resource Center (ISRC) is currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic International Student Advisor to join its team. This is a NEW position which will support the success and wellness of incoming and enrolled international students, alumni and dependents at one of the most diverse universities in the nation. Along with the dedicated professionals on our advising and programming team you will be responsible for designing and delivering professional intercultural and support programs that facilitate the educational, professional, and personal success of both international and domestic students at UCR. You will fine tune your presentation, project management, and advocacy skills by contributing to campus outreach and training, and by working collaboratively with on and off campus partners to improve and maximize support services for international students. You will also serve as a campus Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), providing expert immigration services and regulatory advising to international students.
