Position Purpose

The Childhood Cognition Lab (www.ccl.ucr.edu) at the University of California, Riverside is inviting applications for a Full-Time Project Manager position to join the Developing Belief Network (Project Directors: Rebekah Richert and Kathleen Corriveau). A 5-year John Templeton Foundation grant funds the development of a research initiative designed to bring together a network of scholars interested in cross-cultural study of the development of religious cognition and behavior. This Project Manager will have the exciting opportunity to work with an international network of scholars to build a collaborative research methodology, which will involve training in cross-cultural validation of measures and collection of an expansive and global data set on the development of supernatural beliefs in the first 10 years of life. The Project Manager will be an active member of a team, working collaboratively with PIs Richert and Corriveau, with a post-doc and Research Scientist at Boston University and with representatives from Databrary. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating communication between the PIs and the research sites, facilitating the development of a collaborative methodology, developing a training plan for data collection at all research sites, tracking progress to ensure the project remains on time, overseeing the budget, and coordinating reporting.This position is a 5-year position with possibility of renewal if more funding is secured.

- Develop plan for quality checking data collection practices
- Develop methods for validating measures and testing measurement invariance
- Develop training plan for data collection at all research sites
- Track progress at each site to ensure project remains on time
Coordinating communication between the PIs and the research sites 30% 30
- Develop and enact a communication plan, ensuring regular communication between Project Leaders, as well as with Databrary
- Monthly virtual check-ins with leads at 8-10 research sites to ensure progress
Overseeing the budget 20% 20
- Working with site PIs to address budget questions
- Maintain internal budget oversight
- Coordinate with PSYC Analysts to maintain budget oversight & reporting
Coordinating reporting 10
- Gather necessary information for reporting to JTF
- Write regular progress reports for JTF
Planning and attendance at annual collaborative meeting for all research sites 10
- Assist in developing the agenda for annual collaborative meetings
- Communication with all research sites about the annual collaborative meetings
- Assist in running annual collaborative meetings

Minimum Requirements
