Position Information

Reporting to the Director of Student Success Programs, this 75% FTE position will be responsible for outreach, recruitment and selection of students for the UC Washington Academic Internship Program (UCDC), the UC Center Sacramento Scholar Intern Program (UCCS), and academically-enriched internships in Riverside and the Inland Empire. Position is also responsible for coordinating the iEval program.


Minimum Requirements

Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Demonstrated three years' experience developing, implementing and managing student affairs programs in higher education.

Three years' experience advising undergraduate students and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Experience coordinating student outreach, recruitment, selection and pre-departure orientations for off-campus internships.

Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, train, develop and evaluate student staff.

Strong analytical skills to effectively evaluate the outcome of a problem and identify the key issues or redirect efforts.

Skill in analyzing policy issues, policy and procedures, and other directives and forming solid recommendations.

Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Ability to work effectively in a strong service environment that is subject to constantly changing priorities. Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues.

Demonstrated skill in expressing ideas clearly and convincingly. Skill in making oral and written presentations through various media formats to colleagues or subordinates to provide information, instructions, or explain subjects of interest. Skill in speaking to public audiences through professional oral presentations.

Creative skills to develop and market effective student programs and promotional materials.

Skill in creating and editing documents in word processing applications using moderately advanced features.

Skill in exporting/importing data to or from different software applications or data collection and retrieval.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience with UCR policies and procedures relating to various undergraduate degree programs.

Demonstrated experience with online Student Information System (SIS+).

Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining websites.

Demonstrated experience using CRAMS (Course Request and Maintenance System).

Demonstrated experience using Student Information and Data Warehouse.
