UCR Telefund Manager

Position Information

The UCR Telefund Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the student call center of the UCR Telefund. S/he is responsible for establishing and implementing daily, monthly and annual fundraising strategies and goals developed in collaboration with the Director. S/he recruits, hires and trains and supervises student supervisors and callers. UCR Fund- the Goals are to raise funds to support the areas of greatest need as determined by the chancellor, deans and other university leaders; Increase awareness of UCR within the local and broader communities; Create future leadership for UCR.; Increase alumni participation and involvement with UCR. The gifts to the UCR Fund from thousands of alumni, parents and friends have helped UCR Attract and retain the nation's brightest students through scholarship and fellowship support. Recruit world-class faculty in each department. Create new and innovative programs and curricula. Renovate classrooms and laboratories, and equip them with the necessary equipment and supplies to maximize our students' learning experiences. Renew subscriptions to scholarly journals and keep our libraries up to date with the information our students need to support their educational experience. Provide support for UCR Intercollegiate Athletics, the UCR Botanic Gardens and other programs and projects.

Minimum Requirements

-College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

-A minimum of two years in annual giving or telefund experience using automated systems.

-Experience with supervising staff where leadership, motivation, and discretion will influence on-the-spot decisions.

-Strong written and oral communication skills.

-Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and interpret policies and procedures.

-Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff and students, organize and prioritize projects and implement action plans to achieve targeted objectives.

-Demonstrated skill to proficiently operate a PC for word processing, maintaining databases, creating spreadsheets, and preparing reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

-Ability to work a set schedule of hours which is based on set phone program schedule: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday through Fridays and occasionally some weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree

-Ability to interpret, support and apply campus policies and procedures.

-Familiarity with CampusCall software or other automated dialing systems and experience in managing multiple fundraising projects.

-Familiarity with Raiser's Edge software.
