Position Information

The Associate Dean/Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (AD/CFAO) for the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine is responsible for the entire scope of financial planning, modelling, analytics, operations, and resource management for the School, involving its instructional, research, and administrative functions. The AD/CFAO works directly with the Dean in defining and prioritizing specific needs related to the Schools academic mission and in developing objectives and strategies to meet those needs. Directs and plans all financial and administrative operations, oversees technology support operations for both administrative and instructional computing; provides leadership for management of all space, facilities, and capital needs; management responsibility for all human resources issues (both academic and staff) in the School.

The School of Medicine at the University of California, Riverside was the first public medical school created in California in more than 40 years. The school has the distinctive mission of training a diverse physician workforce and developing research and healthcare delivery programs to improve the health of medically underserved populations in the Inland Empire region of California. The medical school also offers a Ph.D. program in biomedical sciences, and operates residency training programs in family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, and primary care pediatrics (in partnership with Loma Linda University), with additional programs in development.
