Position Information
The Hospitalist Coordinator for the UCR Health clinical practice operation in the desert (greater Palm Springs area) is responsible for supporting the administrative and operational needs of the UCR School of Medicine faculty/physician practices. The incumbent must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with internal and external resources. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the hospitalist program, which may include activity at more than one hospital. This will include coordinating the call schedule for UCR Health as well as with UCR's associated hospital groups, ensuring all information is collected to support the billing function, mange all communication and correspondence on behalf of the program, medical staff credentialing at the facilities and/or with any third party payors, record keeping and other operational support to ensure the program runs smoothly and efficiently. Position also includes support to other area clinical practice locations in the greater Palm Springs area. Maintains up-to-date data for each provider to ensure timely renewal of licenses, certifications and credentials.
Please note: Job requires local travel between practice locations in the Palm Springs/Indio area as well as to the UCR School of Medicine in Riverside for training and other business related purposes.
