Position Information
Under the direction of the Executive Director for Marketing and Creative Services, this position manages all University Advancement alumni marketing communications from concept through delivery. The Alumni Communications Manager is responsible for identifying, creating, and managing strategies and content to communicate with UC Riverside's 110,000 alumni. The incumbent will be accountable for the strong alignment of the UC Riverside brand with alumni, through managing alumni-facing communications channels, and managing communications and marketing projects designed to enhance the UC Riverside alumni experience. S/he will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the marketing and communications channels designed to inform, engage, and connect alumni. In addition, this position will collaborate with the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations to support high-priority events, including Homecoming, to enhance the alumni experience. This position will acquire and advance a comprehensive understanding of UC Riverside's values, goals, history, brand attributes, strategic positioning, traditions, student body, faculty, staff and administration, and alumni to successfully increase alumni engagement and philanthropic giving to support University endeavors and goals. As a member of the University Communications team, this position will partner with colleagues in content development, creative services, media relations, digital marketing, and video production to deliver top-tier marketing and communications resources to all UC Riverside alumni.
