Position Information

The anticipated budgeted amount for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. The Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships is a front-line fundraising position that will also serve as a subject-matter expertise in building comprehensive, mutually beneficial relationships with industry. The incumbent will be responsible for a portfolio of high-potential corporate prospects and will be a primary facilitator of key relationships that transcend individual schools or colleges and require holistic coordination to serve the company’s needs. The incumbent will need to develop trust, rapport, and confidence among unit-based gift officers, the UC Riverside Career Center, Undergraduate Education, Alumni Engagement, and various contracts and grants supportive functions. This individual will convene regular meeting of stakeholders built around a set of specific companies that have potential to impact multiple areas on campus. Corporations like Amgen and Intel are examples of partners where an expanded relationship could benefit both UC Riverside and the company. The senior director will support the Vice Chancellor of Research and Economic Development, the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, deans, and gift officers to develop strategies, produce proposals, successfully land meetings with corporate decision-makers, and provide a concierge-like function with other campus units to meet partner needs. Examples include recruiting students for internships/experiential learning, identifying corporate leaders who can come to campus and share their experience and advice, connecting graduating seniors to corporate recruiters to support workforce diversity goals, convening faculty members across colleges and schools to determine how UC Riverside research can fuel and inform the company’s Research and Development or business strategy, and connecting companies with visible capital naming opportunities that advance their brand equity.
