Position Information

Budgeted amount for this position is $150,000 - $165,000. The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, in University Advancement (AVC) reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Development, and serves on the senior Development leadership team. The incumbent will oversee development officers in capacities throughout the central development office and campus, forming a hybrid centralized/decentralized Development team that works closely with the Deans and faculty to identify opportunities for private support. In conjunction with the Associate Vice Chancellor, the AVC will help to create a holistic, strategic and thoughtful approach to the development operation. The incumbent will supervise director-level development positions in Graduate School of Education (GSOE), School of Business (SoB), School of Public Policy (SPP), and the College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS). UC Riverside career employees who have passed their probationary period and received a “successfully meets performance expectations” rating or above on their last performance evaluation will receive priority consideration for this position. If a qualified pool of candidates from the campus is not identified, qualified candidates from the UC system or external candidates may be considered at the discretion of the hiring department.
