Senior Radiology Technician - Per Diem

Position Information

The Per Diem Senior Radiologist Technician is a member of the UCR Student Health Services (SHS) and Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)Team. UCR SHS provides comprehensive medical services to support the health and wellness needs of our highly diverse student body. Under the direction of the Chief Physician, performs radiologic procedures and administrative functions for the Student Health Radiology Unit. Independently perform duties/tasks as outlined. Meet as needed with the Chief Physician to discuss operations and concerns.

Please Note: The classification and salary range for this position are currently under review. The candidate will be placed at a flat rate per/hr in accordance with the methodology as defined in the collective bargaining agreement. The proposed title code for this position (8990 Radlg Tchno Sr PD) is covered under the Patient Care Technical Unit Contract (EX).

Minimum Requirements

Licensure by State of California, Department of Health Services, as Certified Radiologic Technologist.


Registered for membership in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.


Graduate of radiology technology training program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training.


Skill in using the standard fixed and mobile x-ray imaging equipment.


Oral and written communication skills to collect and clearly convey information to physicians, staff, patients and the public, using correct vocabulary, grammar and tact.


Ability to work as part of a team, and ability to establish cooperative working relationships with administrators, supervisors, doctors, peers and public.


Skill in operating radiographic film processor.


Ability to assess radiographic film quality.


Active Basic Life Support Provider card for CPR

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working in a college or university environment.
