Position Information

The anticipated budget for this position is $78,000 - $97,000. Under the general supervision of the Director, the Assistant Director of Constituent Research & Development performs duties in all areas of the prospect management and research operations, supporting pipeline and portfolio development via a client-based system. The research office is responsible for providing in-depth background information on a wide variety of constituents for use by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Deans, faculty, and the Development department. In collaboration with the director, incumbent will help develop and manage prospect management process guidelines, regularly monitoring development activity for continuity and compliance. Work with the research team to partner with and train frontline fundraisers on the tracking and management of their activity in Raiser¿s Edge and ensure appropriate use of prospect research information to inform development strategies and report on information regarding fundraising progress/activity. Interpret information to advise senior leadership and other managers on fundraising performance. Additional responsibilities include initiating proactive research, data mining, and analytics that will produce a pipeline of prospects for future qualification, cultivation, and solicitation, in support of UC Riverside. This position is critical to the success of UC Riverside's overall fundraising efforts, providing services to the entire campus. By identifying, prioritizing, and focusing the efforts of Development staff on well-defined pools of prospects, the research office enables efficiency in fundraising and ensures philanthropic goals are met.
