Position Information
The budgeted amount for this position is $65,000 - $88,000. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for University Communications/Chief Communications Officer, and a member of the University Communications team, the executive communications officer is responsible for researching, writing, and editing strategic communications, primarily for the Chancellor. The position will work directly with the Chancellor, Associate Chancellor and other university leaders to advance the strategic messages of UC Riverside. Communications will include but not be limited to speeches, presentations, op-eds, news stories, publications, digital communications, and other content. Previous experience in developing communications, marketing, or advocacy messages for executive leadership is strongly preferred. Applicants may be required to submit work samples as part of the selection process. Additionally, some interview questions may contain content review, which may include writing and editing.
