Position Information

Reporting to the Dean of the Graduate School of Education (GSOE), the Institutional Research Analyst oversees, manages and leads the development, selection, implementation, systematic evaluation, refinement, and data-driven decision making in GSOE programs, and assessment system to increase program completion of an academically talented and diverse pool of students. The incumbent implements school-wide policies and procedures for evaluating and assessing program learning outcomes at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring requirements for accreditation related to assessment and facilitate schoolwide practices to ensure compliance (e.g. annual assessment reports, assessment of core competencies, learning outcomes, collection of student program data, etc.). Works closely with Dean, Associate Deans and Assistant Deans to support the development and implementation of learning outcomes and sustainable assessment plans. Collaboratively works with campus to support, evaluate, and improve assessment practices for both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Graduate School of Education. This includes reviewing and improving program learning outcomes, assessment templates to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with accreditation standards, reviewing and improving assessment rubrics, using assessment rubrics to evaluate program learning outcome reports, and providing feedback to programs, school and the campus. Serves on campus committees to review annual assessment summary reports, identifies patterns of concern, recommends program and process changes, and ensures assessment is continuously improving. Also reviews accreditation reports, develops and implements recommended changes for assessment practices. Provides support to help improve the effectiveness of campus assessment efforts and achieve organizational goals. Participates in other accreditation activities (e.g. site visits).
