Position Information

The UCR Library serves as an information commons and intellectual center for the campus and is the nexus for research and study at UCR. The UCR Library ranks among the 120 largest research libraries in the U.S. and Canada and is a member of the Association of Research Libraries and the Center for Research Libraries.

The Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for providing complex fiscal, budgetary, analytical, and other support to the University Library, and is responsible for handling day to day financial management operations for Library Administration and Library Leadership. The position supervises the Planning and Budget unit which consists of several complex systems including Cash, Collection and Register Reconciliation System (CCRRS), UCR Financial System (UCRFS), POS reporting systems and online credit card processor systems. The Financial Services Supervisor will also provide review and oversight to the Acquisitions Accounting unit by routinely reviewing transactions. This position provides direct supervision to professional and represented staff within the University Library's Planning and Budget unit. The Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for providing day to day management, and oversight of tasks, providing regular feedback on performance and professional development opportunities for these staff, interpretation and recommendations for compliance with federal, state, University of California (UC) and UCR Fiscal policies and procedures. This position supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives and exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. ***PLEASE NOTE - UC Riverside career employees who have passed their probationary period will receive priority consideration for this position.
