Position Information

Dr. Ilana Bennett is seeking one part-time (20-30 hours/week) and one full-time (30-40 hours/week) Laboratory Assistant to begin in Fall 2021. Both positions will assist with research investigating the effects of aging on behavior and the brain by collecting neuropsychological, cognitive, and neuroimaging data in younger and older adults. Preferred candidates will have a strong research background, with experience recruiting, scheduling, and collecting data from human subjects; and experience working with older adults. All candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. These positions are ideal for those interested in pursuing an advanced degree in cognitive neuroscience or related fields. The part-time position will be dedicated to research within Dr. Bennett’s Laboratory of Aging and Neurocognitive Imaging. The full-time position will split time between an NIH-funded study that Dr. Bennett contributes to and related research within Dr. Bennett’s lab. Both positions are for a 1 year appointment. Experience

Experience Requirement
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Required

Minimum Requirements

Ability to work with good judgment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time management skills
Able to work 20-30 (part-time) or 30-40 (full-time) hours/week for a 1-year appointment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting, scheduling, or collecting data from human subjects

Experience working with older adults

Research experience in the areas of psychology or neuroscience
