Position Information
UC Riverside Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is searching for a Business Intelligence Specialist! The successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to work closely with campus partners to develop data visualizations and dashboards using BI tools. If you want to be a part of improving UCR's student experience by partnering with students, faculty, and staff to deliver solutions that allow campus leaders to make more informed data-driven decisions then this position is for you!
This position is classified as remote with occasional visits to campus as necessary. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). Maximum budgeted annual salary for this position is $117,100.
**As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. Minimum Requirements
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
Ability to serve as an advanced technical leader providing advice, counsel, and analysis on business intelligence issues.
Advanced knowledge and skill in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems.
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
Advanced organizational and project management skills.
Advanced interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with managers, professional and technical staff.
In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of business intelligence technology such as PowerBI, Cognos, SPSS, Tableau, etc.
