Position Information

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), UCR Health, this position is responsible for overseeing the successful planning and execution of various short and long term strategic projects on time and on budget to include practice expansions, and process/performance improvement projects for the UCR Health clinics. The Project Manager plays a lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out assigned projects. Specific projects include, but are not limited to: #1. Project lead for exploration of a possible hospital or dominant hospital affiliate for UCR Health. Entails working with an external consulting firm, UCR SOM and UCR campus leadership. #2. Project lead to open a new UCR Health clinic in collaboration with the City of Riverside in a medically underserved area of Riverside. Project will also include exploration of eventual conversion of the clinic into an FQHC or integration with an existing external FQHC. #3. Project lead to improve operational efficiency of UCR Health clinics with a focus on patient satisfaction, access and call center performance, as well as optimizing physician productivity. #4. Project lead to explore possible new ambulatory clinic sites. Works independently to successfully manage complex dynamics while maintaining a high level of professionalism, and the healthy engagement with a project team. Ability to successfully facilitate discussions, leading teams to make critical, well-informed, and timely decisions. Experience with developing powerpoint presentations, project charters, professional communications, and ability to present updates/results to project leadership team.

This position requires strong administrative, writing, and negotiation skills sufficient to take full responsibility and accountability in managing assigned projects. Required
Experience must be in healthcare, clinical, medical and/or academic medicine setting. Required
Salesforce CRM Experience. Preferred
Experience in project planning and management involving critical path analysis and scheduling to coordinate and prioritize workloads. Required

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to plan and to pace work, and when required, to isolate oneself from informal interruptions to ensure that immediate job responsibilities are performed, deadlines are met, and projects are not jeopardized.
Ability to communicate effectively through written reports and oral presentations. Must be able to speak on a one-to-one basis or in small group settings, using appropriate grammar and vocabulary to convey relevant information.
Ability to coordinate project elements by determining the time, place and sequences of actions to be taken on the basis of analytical data.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Ability to perform effectively with frequent interruptions, distractions and conditions and fluctuating workloads.
Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses.
