Lead Application Developer

Position Information

UC Riverside Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is searching for a Lead Application Developer! The successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to work closely with campus partners to develop and support integrated solutions using the Banner Student Information System (SIS). If you want to be a part of improving UCR's student experience by partnering with students, faculty, and staff then this position is for you!

This is a three year contract position with the potential to become a permanent career position should funding become available in the future. The maximum budgeted annual salary for this position is $114,800. Furthermore, this position is classified as remote with occasional visits to campus as necessary. Working hours will be based upon Pacific Standard Time (PST).

As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.

Minimum Requirements

Demonstrated software repository skills.
Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Excellent project leadership and management skills.
Current working knowledge of the Banner Student Information System.
Experience developing and executing complex test plans.
Highly advanced skills associated with software specification, design, modification, implementation and deployment of large-scale scope.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Demonstrated complex problem- solving skills.
Advanced knowledge of secure software development.
Advanced knowledge of creating and maintaining schedules for software development and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.

Advanced experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
