Position Information
The Outreach Coordinator supports the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) mission to educate the campus community in mental health as well as coordinates, plans, and documents the provision of outreach activities directly and through the provision of outreach and education by CAPS clinical staff. This position will collaborate with other departments on campus to provide comprehensive mental health education and promotion services, programs, and resources. The Outreach Coordinator will represent CAPS and the Division of Health, Well-Being and Safety mission and values at various campus and divisional planning and coordination meetings in order to further the messaging, outreach and marketing needs of CAPS. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for CAPS social media, marketing and website presence on campus. The successful applicant will demonstrate their high level of understanding of mental health and psychological services, but also demonstrate their knowledge of connecting with students who identify as historically underrepresented BIPOC students, African Diaspora, API, Latinx, international, first-generation, undocumented, veterans, students with disabilities, and LGBTQI+ communities as examples. Finalist will be required to provide a presentation as part of the selection process.
