Interim Case Manager

Position Information

Under the Division of the Health, Well-being, and Safety, this role is acts as navigator for students who seek resources to help them during times of crisis. This position is critical, acting as a connector to other departments on-campus, and understanding safety-net programs and services in the surrounding Riverside community. These are limited contract positions, expected to run through June 30, 2022, but may end sooner or be extended based upon department need, funding or at the discretion of leadership.

The classification title and salary range for this position are currently under review. The candidate will be placed on the anticipated salary range in accordance with the step placement methodology as defined in the collective bargaining agreement once ratified. The classification for this position is covered under the Residual Health Care Professionals Unit Contract (HX).

Master's degree in related area or equivalent experience. Required

Licenses

Current, valid license in California as an LCSW or LMFT. Required

Experience

4 - 7 years of related experience. Required
Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, and assessing their safety. Preferred
Experience designing and implementing multicuturally sensitive outreach programs and psychoeducational workshops. Required
Demonstrated commitment and experience with Diversity and Inclusion or experience focused on one of the following communities: LGBTQ+ communities and identities, Black/African Diaspora, Chicano/a and Latina/o/x or Asian and Pacific Islanders. Required
Experience working in a higher education setting. Preferred

Special Conditions

Special Condition Requirement
Expectation of availability after hours or on weekends to serve the occasional emergent needs of students and campus challenges/crises. Required

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
Knowledge of business software and specialized applications/systems used in behavioral health settings.
Thorough knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patients' rights.
Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic approach and modify as necessary.
Demonstrated multicultural comptence in mental health service provision. Knowledge of how race, ethnic identitiy, gender, sexual orientation, disability, privlage and multiculturalism related to psychological service delivery.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with a diverse client group.
Highly effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of intersectionality and how it impacts the daily lives of students.
Highly effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Intrests and focus on diversity and inclusion or demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the cultures and counseling for one of the : LGBTQ+ communities and identities, Black/African Diaspora, Chicano/a and Latina/o/x or Asian and Pacific Islanders.

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards.
