Position Information
The Assistant Director of Residential Life is a part of the Residential Life Leadership team. This position oversees the day to day operations of the residential communities. This position provides direct supervision and leadership of up to 4 Resident Directors and in-direct supervision and support of Resident Advisors. This position manages conduct, care and concern follow-up for a residential area. **As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.

Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.

Awareness of assessment practices (qualitative and quantitative).
Ability to develop original ideas and problem solve.
Understanding of a Residential Curriculum.
Ability to conduct effective meetings and guide strategic planning initiative.
