Wellness Coordinator

Position Information

Under the general direction of the Workplace Health & Wellness Manager, the Wellness Program Coordinator researches, designs, develops, implements and manages wellness initiatives and programs designed to assist faculty and staff in assessing wellness services. The Wellness Program Coordinator will collaborate with University departments/units and community agencies in the development of wellness policies and trainings. **As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.

Degree Requirement
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Masters of Public Health or related field, and several years of progressively responsible level experience in Human Resources. Preferred

Experience in public sector and/or higher education. Preferred
6 - 10 years of related experience. Required

Minimum Requirements

Skilled in communicating about and administering more complex benefit programs.
Advanced analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates advanced writing, speaking and group presentation skills in order to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to multiple levels in the organization.
Advances knowledge of applicable state and federal law.
Demonstrated skill in building cooperative relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively in a team environment or independently.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work collegially with individuals of diverse ethnic, economic and cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in relevant human resources related local, state and federal regulations and laws: skill in interpreting and translating into operational and programmatic actions.
Advanced knowledge of all employee benefit programs, with deep knowledge within area of expertise as well as general knowledge of other areas of human resources.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated skill in social science research, design and analysis.

Advanced knowledge of University policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
