SDRC Testing Center Assistant Coordinator

Position Information

To provide administrative support and leadership to the SDRC Testing Center operations, including the provision of accommodations and services for students with disabilities. Position oversees front desk operations for the Student Disability Resource Center and is responsible for directly supervising student employees that provide services to students with disabilities. Provides back up to the SDRC Testing Center Coordinator in their absence, to ensure accommodations and services for students occur as needed and within the scheduled requirements. This position is budgeted from $24.61 to $26.98 hourly depending on experience.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Minimum of 3-7 years of related experience Required
Experience with complex scheduling and program planning requiring extraordinary attention to detail, and ability to perform such tasks with frequent interruptions. Required
Experience with maintaining complex databases through data entry, data queries, and database updates. Required
Experience in coordinating complex administrative activities by determining the time, place, and sequence of events to be taken. Required
Experience with the administrative functions of a research university. Preferred
Demonstrated experience with the UCR Financial Systems (UCRFS). Preferred
Administrative experience in an institution of higher education. Preferred

Minimum Requirements

Sensitivity to the concerns of students with a variety of disabilities.
Skill to independently draft correspondence pertaining to the operations, policies, and procedures of the functional area, using correct spelling and grammar.
Demonstrated communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate, using tact and diplomacy, with students, faculty, and staff, including people with disabilities.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; skill in computing percentages.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the experience of university students, particularly students with disabilities.

Familiarity with student services in a higher educational institution.

Knowledge of the applicable UC policies and procedures governing areas related to the responsibilities of the job.
