Position Information
The Social Neuroscience Lab at the University of California Riverside is seeking a full-time lab manager to join us in the Summer or Fall of 2022. There is one full-time position open for 1 year. The position may be extended based on funding, department needs, and performance. The lab uses neuroimaging, behavioral, and computational methods to examine how people learn about and represent their social worlds, and how motivation shapes those processes. We examine topics that range from how people represent their self-concepts and update self-views from feedback and experience, how people perceive and gather information from other people and their social environments, and how people interact and socially connect with one another. The position is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop as researchers before applying to graduate programs in psychology, neuroscience or related fields. The lab manager will coordinate multiple aspects of intensive research projects, including participant recruitment, data collection, stimulus development, programming of behavioral and neuroimaging experiments, maintenance and analysis of behavioral and neuroimaging data. The lab manager will also provide general research support, such as coordinate lab meetings, manage teams of research assistants, assist with IRB and grant proposal preparation, maintain study databases and lab documentation, and author manuscripts for publication.

Some exposure to one or more programming language (e.g. Matlab, Python, Javascript, shellscripting, etc.)
