Position Information

Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is currently recruiting for 2 positions. These positions are designated as a Career Ladder recruitment, which means the hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. The Junior Configuration Analyst, while under direct supervision, will primarily be responsible for helping to analyze department requirements, procedures and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems, and review system-wide capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations while proactively monitoring and providing metrics for reporting purposes for various security vulnerabilities. The candidate will work with the Security Office to determine security best practices and requirements to help guide their applied knowledge of endpoint configuration management to help manage various types of hardware the campus oversees. Candidate must be customer service focused as they will be required to interact with customers and disseminate information using project management tools, metrics and other reporting means. This position will work alongside the Configuration Analyst and their Manager to determine best course of action and provide guidance as needed.

This position is classified as on-site. The maximum annual budgeted salary for this SYS ADM 2 position is $83,400.

Minimum Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of computer security best practices and policies.
Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs.
General knowledge of other areas of IT.
Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance.
Demonstrated experience writing and editing scripts of moderate complexity used to perform system maintenance and administration.
Demonstrated understanding of how system management actions affect users and dependent/related functions.
Basic knowledge of how to apply technologies and systems to meet business needs.
Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
