UCR was one of the first UC campuses to deploy a comprehensive reform of its financials, moving away from incremental budgeting and towards a more comprehensive, real-time data approach. The result was the creation of a new budget model that that would support the long-term sustainability of UCR as a top public research university. This budget model has evolved over the last few years and will likely continue to change in order to meet our needs as our funding streams change and reporting requirements are adjusted. Additionally, our campus is at the design phase of a brand new financial system. As part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, this position will play a critical role in helping fine tune our budget model communications and create buzz for our new financial system that will launch a much desired forecasting budget model. You will work in a collaborative environment where clear communication and transparency will be key to the success of our new endeavors. If you are intuitive, creative, resourceful, and adaptable then you are just the person we are looking for to help us provide leadership with the insights and tools to make data-driven decisions on how to align our resources to the outcomes that matter most - student success and the creation of knowledge. *The budgeted hiring range for this position is $61,800 - $75,000.* As part of the recruitment process, a work sample and presentation will be required from identified finalists. * As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. Minimum Requirements

Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses.
Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Strong policy analysis techniques.
Working knowledge of undertaking independent research to produce data-driven recommendations.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Ability to effectively engage with staff and senior administrators.
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
Analytical/problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
