Position Information
Under close supervision, performs unskilled or semi-skilled tasks such as hoe weeds, transplant vegetable or tree crops, thin row crops, prune and sucker citrus, harvest, hand application of fertilizer, portable sprinkler set-up, connect an assortment of irrigation hoses and micro-sprays, maintain and repair PVC irrigation system. Use simple hand tools to perform duties, Operate light trucks, Support greenhouse in unskilled or semi-skilled tasks. This is a 50% position with variable schedule from 50% - 100% based on need. The budgeted hiring range is $38,314.80 - $40,298.40.

Minimum Requirements
Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions, communicate in English and demonstrated ability to perform general agricultural work; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Ability to operate light pick-up trucks.
Ability to work in an outside environment during inclement weather and temperature extremes; daily moving of material up to 40 pounds with assistance.
Ability to record labor hours using basic arithmetic calculations in field areas and plot locations of work assignments
Demonstrated ability to perform general agricultural work, general greenhouse work, and citrus cultural care; experience in minor mini sprinkler and irrigation repairs
