Bear Help and Student Technology Coordinator

Position Information

The Bear Help and Student Technology Coordinator will oversee the coordination, policy adherence, process and distribution to the various programs that BearHelp and Student Technology Departments oversee. This includes the Loan2Learn program which distributes laptops, hotspots and headsets to students in need; the OFAC Loaner program which coordinates hardware distribution for those faculty, staff or students travelling to OFAC countries; the coordination of hardware and distribution for new hires in the UCR ITS Department; coordination of any new WEPA and Laptop Anytime installations and/or any new Student Technology services funded by the Student Technology Fund, as well as help to coordinate any projects that arise from the purchase of hardware from Campus Lottery Funds. This position will also be asked at times to produce reports on the various programs to customers and Leadership.

This position is a CONTRACT position funded on soft funds. Funding is only available through June 30, 2023. If additional funding becomes available in the future, the position could be extended and/or converted to a permanent career position.

In addition, this position is classified as 100% on-site and will be stationed at the Computing & Communications Bldg. on the UCR campus.

For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.

Minimum Requirements

Intermediate knowledge of related areas of IT.
