Position Information

Under supervision of University Advancement's CFAO, UC Riverside seeks a motivated, energetic, innovative and collaborative individual to join our team as Talent Acquisition Analyst for University Advancement. The incumbent will perform full-life cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing and recommending a qualified talent pool. In addition to pro-actively sourcing key talent profiles via leading social media tools such as LinkedIn, you will use creative sourcing methods to identify high-potential talent. Working with University Advancement's, Talent Management team , this incumbent will establish a qualified and diverse candidate pipeline and will play an integral role in ensuring a positive experience for all internal and external candidates. This includes providing recruitment counsel and guidance to advancement partners and functional hiring teams regarding candidate skills/attributes, target companies, interview processes and assessment methods.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.

This position is a 6 month contract position with a budgeted amount of up to $68,000 annually.

Possesses 3-5 years recruitment experience with a focus on conducting development/advancement searches within higher education, non-profit organizations, or similar entities. Preferred

Minimum Requirements

Basic knowledge of employment law.
Strong organizational skills.
Intermediate proficiency in MS suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT).
Demonstrated analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations.
Creative mindset for suggesting ideas that improve talent pool sources.
Demonstrated abilities associated with problem identification; reasoning; ability to work with business units in the development of ideas to solve staffing issues.
Knowledge of common software used within employment and other areas of HR, and how they work together.
Working knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as active listening and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of HR processes and forms and knows organizational and departmental principles and procedures.
Working knowledge of the recruitment, screening, interviewing and referral processes.
Demonstrated analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

HR experience in higher education.

Experience using avenues such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms to identify and recruit top tier candidates.

Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people from all levels of the organization.
