Position Information
The Maker Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Creat'R Lab, a maker space located in the Orbach Science Library. The Coordinator assists Creat'R Lab patrons, supervises student employees, implements and maintains specialized equipment, and facilitates outreach activities such as meetups and workshops for students and faculty. The Maker Services Coordinator also maintains partnerships with other campus departments and plans for the acquisition and implementation of new equipment and services in the lab.
This position is designated as a Mandated Reporter and will be required to complete trainings and comply with CANRA. Must pass FBI/Department of Justice background check.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00pm. May work occasional evening and weekends to support programming and/or events. Schedule may change based on Library hours of operations, finals week, Summer, and intercession periods.
Budgeted Salary range is $56,800 - $88,600.

Minimum Requirements
Advanced professional knowledge enabling the performance of a full range of coordinating, and/or highly specialized functional subject area activities. This knowledge may be acquired through considerable library experience, possibly in combination with specialized training and skills or relevant academic preparation.
Advanced interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of people and situations, including providing guidance and leadership to other library professionals.
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills to address highly complex or specialized solutions.
Advanced knowledge of library data transformation techniques and software tools. Assists with implementation of new technology as needed.
Advanced knowledge of applicable systems and databases.
Advanced knowledge of emerging technologies and software tools.
Ability to display initiative and remain flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Ability to provide effective leadership and supervision to supervised staff and foster a motivating and engaged environment. Ability to proactively manage employee performance, establish goals for supervised staff and work continuously to promote achievement of the established goals. Ability to effectively delegate and hold supervised staff accountable for successful completion of assignments.
