Position Information
There are two positions available. These positions are designated as Career Ladder recruitments, which means the hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. Therefore, this position is currently posted as Applications Programmer 2 - recruitment ID 28634480 and/or Applications Programmer 3 - recruitment ID # 28635644. Under the direction of the Service Management Manager, this Junior Service Now Programmer is responsible for application development using all phases of the software development lifecycle (conception, design, testing, production, and maintenance). As a junior-level developer, this position works closely with senior developers to gain knowledge and experience to analyze, design, build and document specifications for applications using the ServiceNow platform. Additionally, collaborate with fellow developers and business analysts to support discovery and requirements gatherings in an agile development environment. This role also provides technical guidance and applies information technology practices, community standards, and relevant policies and procedures to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects with moderate scope and complexity. Finally, works with campus stakeholders to resolve a wide range of issues and demonstrates competency in selecting tools, methods, and techniques to obtain results.
Both positions are classified as remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). The maximum budgeted annual salary for this position is $99,200.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of "Up to Date" Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline.
