CSI Deputy Director

Position Information

The Deputy Director is responsible for co-developing strategy for the Center for Social Innovation (CSI), with respect to both its internal and external functions, and for managing strategy implementation that ensuring short-term and long-term success. The key responsibilities of the position include oversight and management of fiscal operations, human resources, and Center facilities as well as policy development and implementation. The Deputy Director also informs and influences executive-level decision-making concerning organization-wide and division-level strategic and budgetary planning by providing high-level analysis, reports, recommendations, and consultative support to the Executive Director. The budgeted hiring range for this position is up to approximately $125,000. This position is eligible for hybrid work. Work samples will be requested of all shortlisted candidates.

Minimum Requirements

Advanced interpersonal communication skills to include verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees.
Advanced knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as events planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and/or personnel management.

Advanced skills in short and long term strategic planning, analysis and problem-solving and customer service.

Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.

Advanced knowledge, skills,and ability using Microsoft Excel to create, modify, and maintain financial reports.
