Position Information
The UCR School of Medicine (SOM) Department of Sponsored Research and Programs (SRP) is seeking an extremely organized professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills to serve as a Project Analyst 2. The incumbent will provide support to fellow SRP analysts and managers on the preparation of proposals and subcontracts for federal, state, and foundation Sponsors that support SOM research and educational programs. This position will serve as an integral liaison to all members of the SRP team - keeping the SRP team aware of and on track of all upcoming deadlines, alerting the team to any hold-up or issues, and taking initiative to problem-solve and create processes for increased efficiency. To complete the position successfully, the incumbent will need to be able to carefully analyze grant and contract requirements in order to create logs and timelines to meet upcoming deadlines; organize documents to ensure all required grant pieces are received; reference back-up documentation to identify missing information in templates and forms; and complete drafts of required documentation to present to senior analysts for review and approval. Under supervision, the incumbent will also assist with processing grant financials and the drafting of preliminary grant budgets. SRP's customer audience includes a complement of SOM units (Dean's Office, the Division of Biomedical Sciences, the Division of Clinical Sciences, Center for Healthy Communities, Student Affairs, Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education), as well as collegial collaborators, external business partners, and community-based organizations.

The salary range for the Project Analyst 2 - Sponsored Research & Programs (SRP) is $54,200 - $93,200 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $70,900 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy.
