31445655 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $100,100 - $190,500

Position Information

With a frontline focus, the Director for Regional and Pipeline Development will influence and implement strategies for high volume, mission-focused engagement and cultivation of new philanthropic donors and volunteers for UCR. Under the leadership of the Sr. Director for Regional and Pipeline Development, the Director will partner with University Advancement colleagues in annual giving, communications, alumni and volunteer engagement, gift planning, and major gifts to significantly build a pipeline of leadership annual gift and major gift activity in California and in an assigned region(s) as determined by the concentration of UCR's alumni, parents, and friends across the nation. The Director will manage a prospective donor portfolio of at least 150 individuals and organizations, roughly 75% of which will require engagement and qualification activity. The remaining 25% of the portfolio should consist of new or returning major gift donors in cultivation, solicitation, or stewardship; major gift prospects retained in the Regional and Pipeline Development portfolio will have multiple funding interests across UCR programs and/or be uniquely located in a region less frequently visited by unit/college major gift officers. The Director will activate the team's strategic plan to build the pipeline of major gift donors from initial discovery efforts, through qualification conversations, and ultimately by enacting a cultivation and solicitation strategy with a donor-centered approach. Success will be measured through a variety of metrics, including donor renewals, upgrades, and referrals to major gift partners; annual outreach attempts and visits; and an annual fundraising dollar goal.

Please Note: This is a three-year, renewable contract position that includes the same employee benefits afforded career employees.

The full salary range for the Director of Regional and Pipeline Development is $96,700 - $184,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $96,700 - $115,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.  Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
