Position Information
The Assistant Director of Human Resources for Facilities Services reports to the Director of HR & HR Business Partner and serves as the lead HR professional for Facilities Services (FS). This position is part of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET). Facilities Services consists of approximately 250 employees and includes the following operational units: Maintenance Services, Central Plant, Environmental & Resource Services, Energy & Engineering, Client Support Services, and FS Administration. The Assistant Director of Human Resources (ADHR) is responsible for the coordination and delivery of a variety of human resources duties in support of organizational management. The ADHR advises and provides consultation to management on workforce planning, compensation and classification, job descriptions, recruitment, personnel policies and procedures, employee and labor relations, and other areas of human resources. Serves as the point of contact for a diverse workforce, including union represented staff; responds to inquiries, questions, requests, and concerns, delegating work as appropriate. Gathers and analyzes human resources data for Facilities Services and organizational management. Represents Facilities Services as an HR professional on campus-wide workgroups and committees ensuring departmental needs are appropriately represented and addressed. The position oversees an HR Coordinator, who is primarily responsible for managing the leave of absence program, as well as an HR Assistant who provides daily administrative and operational HR support for employees and managers of Facilities Services. As part of the ASSET, PB&A HR Team, this position is characterized by a high degree of collaboration and coordination in the delivery of HR services to support Facilities Services. The expected salary pay for this role is between $84,100 to $102,450.

Working knowledge of management within higher education.
