Position Information

The UCR School of Medicine, the first public medical school in California in more than 40 years, is committed to training a diverse physician workforce for Inland Southern California region and to developing research and health care delivery innovations that improve the health of medically under-served populations This position oversees most functional areas of the Office of Student Affairs and develops and implements new student programs and events. The incumbent works independently to prioritize assignments and strategies in order to achieve the mission of the School of Medicine under direct supervision by the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Dean of Student Affairs. This position is primarily responsible for the operation and management of the Student Affairs Office in the School of Medicine. This includes the administrative oversight of medical school admissions, student advising, medical student records, academic enrichment programs, student programming, medical student affiliate compliance relations, as well as the recruiting, hiring and training of Student Affairs unit personnel. The incumbent will partner with our Director of Financial Aid and Director of Student Counseling and Academic Support to ensure full support for all medical students. Additionally, the incumbent oversees the fiscal and personnel management of the Student Affairs Office and advises the Senior Associate Dean and Associate Dean regarding policies, protocols, and procedures.
