The UCR Health Chief Operating Officer directs the operations and program planning for healthcare clinics and / or centers; develops plans to optimize practices and resources, people, space, time and equipment. The UCR Health Chief Operating Officer (COO) is under the direct supervision of the UCR Health CEO. This position directs the administrative, and clinical operational activities of the clinical care services of the UCR SOM clinical enterprise known as UCR Health. The position collaborates with the UCR SOM clinical departments in supporting medical practice in the clinics and both outpatient and inpatient service areas of the health system. This position will be a key contributor in building the clinical practice with the establishment of practice sites spanning Inland Southern California regions including the Coachella Valley, Riverside Metro, San Bernardino County, and Southwest Riverside (Temecula/Murrieta) regions. This includes hiring physicians, developing and outfitting practice sites, implementing managed clinic staffing and operations, building business models/plans and pro formas. The operating budget, revenue streams and clinical practice sites are expected to expand at a rapid growth trajectory over the next several years. The COO oversees a portfolio that includes: 1) clinic operations; 2) health information management 3) clinical informatics. The incumbent in this position will partner with the UCR Health Chief Medical Officer to provide seamless clinical leadership utilizing the dyad leadership model to achieve shared goals.
