Position Information
The Assistant Director of Pipeline Programs will develop and administer programs to support the recruitment of high school and community college students to health careers and the School of Medicine. In concert with the Director of Pipeline Programs and Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the incumbent is responsible for the development of annual outreach plans at selected high schools and community colleges in Inland Southern California. The Assistant Director will have programmatic responsibility for the Health Sciences Partnership, Future Physician Leaders, and Community College Outreach Program. The incumbent supervises UCR undergraduate pre-health majors and medical students who together visit high school and community colleges to provide workshops and activities to inform prospective students about admissions, pre-health opportunities, and academic success. The Assistant Director, alongside the Director of Pipeline Programs and Associate Dean of Student Affairs, will recommend, develop, and oversee the implementation of services of school, student, parent-centered services. Responsible for the submission of quarterly, mid-year, and annual performance reports to the department, funders, and stakeholders.
