Position Information

The purpose of the position is to provide academic guidance and developmental services that enhance the college experience and support engineering students in pursuit of their educational goals.

The incumbent filling the position(s) will strive to fulfill this purpose by working deliberately to manifest the following values:

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Minimum Requirements

Thorough knowledge of department/school college policies, procedures, and requirements.
Abilities in problem identification, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Ability to multi-task.
Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Knowledge of multiple majors, colleges, and schools.
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of college/school policies, procedures, and requirements.

Role flexibility and ability to adjust to demands of a dynamic work environment including assisting team members in acclimating to environment and workload demands.

Ability to prioritize responsibilities and triage needs based on value to students, the college and its departments, etc.

Ability to participate in and initiate collaboration, consultation, assuring and contributing to a positive work environment.
