Financial Analyst III

Position Information

The Financial Analyst III position is responsible for the accounting, reporting, and cash draw downs on federal letters of credit for research, development and student aid funds; tasks associated with this responsibility require knowledge of cash management, forecasting techniques, advanced data analysis skills and interpretation of complex policies and guidelines. This position reviews contract and grant agency terms and conditions to ensure adherence to UCOP and UCR coding requirements on federal contract and grants. Acts as lead accountant in the absence of the Extramural Funds Manager. ** The budget hiring range for this position is up to $96,200 annually. ** A skills assessment on Excel skills will be required for this position.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Proven ability to use spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.

Thorough knowledge of accounting policies, practices and systems.

Working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200, UC Policy, GAAP

Working knowledge of UCR financial systems and data.
