Position Information
The Marketing and Communications Department of the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering works hand-in-glove with the Development, Student Affairs, Undergraduate Admissions, and Graduate Division units to ensure we build a community of engineers that delivers on the universal promise of education. Responsibilities include comprehensive promotion and advertising and/or market research activities. Projects and/or programs are typically complex and require a high degree of technical marketing expertise. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
The budgeted salary range is between $84,1000 - $102,450.
A digital portfolio, writing sample, or campaign sample will be requested of interviewees.

Advanced knowledge of applicable campus and/or medical center policies and state and federal laws pertaining to marketing and advertising issues and concerns and other related policies or laws.
Advanced knowledge of the campus and/or medical center's product lines and services.
Advanced analytical and research skills.
Skill in mentoring less experienced staff.
Advanced knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, techniques and applications relevant to the field of promotion and advertising.
Advanced skills in developing, designing and implementing creative promotional and advertising strategies.
Advanced written, visual, interpersonal communication and political acumen skills.
Advanced knowledge of the campus and/or medical center's product lines and services.
Advanced analytical and research skills.
Skill in mentoring less experienced staff.
