Position Information
Under general supervision, this position will be responsible for the administrative role and reception duties for the education II building. Incumbent will greet customers and keep track of a visitor log, announce appointments, update digital signage with classroom schedules and event information and maintain student workers. Duties to include shipping /receiving and mailroom organization of lobby. This position will also maintain the mailroom and supervise student workers. Duties to include shipping /receiving and mailroom management, distribution delivery and pick up service. Follow up on orders invoices along with other assign duties. Serves as a resource to visitors to the SOM Education Building II. This position is responsible for all duties associated with coverage of the receptionist desk, including answering telephones, screening and directing calls as appropriate, and responding to a wide variety of inquiries and questions from the public and campus community. Responsible for distributing mail, copying, faxing, and filing as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining phone lists and oversees Fed-Ex and other carrier shipments.
The salary range for the Receptionist/Mailroom Supervisor is $49,276.80 - $69,843.60 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $58,000 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy.
